First time dealing with family court?
It’s not mine.
No one grows up thinking that their fairy tale wedding will end in court dates, parenting plans, or emergency filings. And if this is your first time navigating divorce, custody, or a restraining order, it probably feels like you’re suddenly expected to know how to speak fluent legalese and stay calm while everything’s on fire.
That’s where I come in.
I don’t expect you to know the difference between a stip and a subpoena. I’ll walk you through what matters, what doesn’t, and what to ignore when your ex’s cousin starts giving legal advice on Instagram.
Some attorneys just write demand letters. I actually get responses and get you to the finish line.
When the other side ghosts, stalls, or suddenly “forgets how email works,” I know exactly how to get things moving again. I handle high-conflict family law issues with the energy of someone who didn’t come to play games—but knows exactly how to shut them down without raising my voice.
If the situation calls for urgency, I act. If it calls for restraint, I don’t let anyone bait me. I take the time to understand your goals and work with you to put together a strategy to get a reasonable outcome. Sometimes getting you what you need means going to court, but often it means negotiating a fair deal outside of court. I understand that even though I love to litigate, no client ever wants to be in court.
What I Do Best
- I speak fluent Teochew and conversational Vietnamese
- I also speak fluent legalese, but I translate it into normal human language.
- I make sure timelines aren’t optional.
- I don’t confuse being polite with being passive.
- I provide compassion and sternness when needed.
Whether you’re dealing with a custody mess, financial control, or someone who
suddenly has amnesia about following court orders, I keep the case organized, clear,
and moving.
If You’re Dealing With:
- A co-parent who thinks court orders are suggestions
- An ex who files motions just to keep you busy and to drain your funds
- A financial picture that looks like a game of hide and seek
- A situation that feels more like crisis management than law
That’s not just frustrating. It’s strategic on their part. And it’s my job to make sure it stops
working.
